Our patient care is managed by a comprehensive treatment team – a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a social worker, and a staff of direct patient caregivers – to make sure you receive all the care and attention you need.

Roddy Strobel, Medical Director
Child Psychiatrist
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Texas A&M University, Dr. Strobel attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in San Antonio. She completed her internship and residency in psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch in San Antonio. She has actively treated and cared for patients for 15 years.
Dr. Strobel is also a volunteer faculty member at the Texas Tech School of Medicine. She has two stepchildren and lives in Odessa with her husband.
Sergio Silva, M.D.
Adult and Geriatric Psychiatrist
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Dr. Silva received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Science Center in Houston. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is bilingual and has more than 15 years of experience in patient care.
Prior to working with BCA Permian Basin, Dr. Silva had a private outpatient clinic in Austin, and he most recently worked for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Austin. In his capacity at BCA Permian Basin, Dr. Silva treats the adult and senior population and provides outpatient care.
Kurt Sherick, M.D.
Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
BCA welcomes Kurt Sherick, M.D., General Psychiatrist to Midland/Odessa. Dr. Sherick graduated from Ball State University and received his Medical Doctorate from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Sherick completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Center in Amarillo, Texas. Dr. Sherick completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas. He most recently worked at Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Sherick has over twenty five years of experience in Internal Medicine and five years of experience in Psychiatry. Dr. Sherick will be treating adolescent and adult populations at BCA and will provide outpatient services.
Dr. Sherick resides in Midland with his wife and two children.
Paul Medina, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Paul has more than 30 years of experience practicing medicine and works as a physician assistant at BCA Permian Basin. In addition, he currently operates an outpatient practice alongside Dr. Francisco Salcido in Odessa, where he also resides.
